Dear Editor:

As an uptown resident, I am voicing my support for the Shipyard pier development. With the Shipyard project, Applied transformed an industrial eyesore into a vibrant community, with great stores and a beautiful waterfront park.

The new pier development will be a great addition to Hoboken. It will take a dilapidated, off-limits property and transform it into a community asset with tennis courts, paddleball courts and additional riverfront promenade and park area, all open to the public.

If we listened to the naysayers, there would still be no public access to our norhtern riverfront. I applaud the Applied Companies for their exciting proposal.
